70 Silk Scarf Golden Seahorses
Golden seahorses, blue coral and shells surround a large golden scallop shell set on a marine medallion. The border of blue waves closes this cabinet square, between naturalistic engraving and Riviera coat of arms.
The 70 x 70 is the neck format: folded in a triangle, it is tied in front or to the side without falling too low, and folded as a headband it makes two turns around the neck. It can also be worn on the head, tied under the chin or at the nape of the neck, and as a fine belt over a dress.
The Wearing Experience
- The central shell is worn at the back or center of the chest: the marine medallion falls just right.
- Blue, gold and cream: the summer palette that remains elegant in winter with a navy coat.
- Folded in a triangle and tied in front, the point falls in the middle of the chest: it's the right proportion for a coat collar or a blazer.
- As a headband, it makes two turns around the neck with a flat knot: the silk holds without a pin.
Craftsmanship & Material
The Golden Seahorses scarf is printed in Italy on a 100% natural silk twill, the same tight weave with discreet diagonal that our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense hand and resistance to wrinkles. The printing is done in high definition, which reproduces the engraving line of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never serged by machine.
The 70 cm is the intermediate format of silk houses: large enough for a shoulder tie in summer, short enough to stay neat at the neck in winter. It is cut from the same twill as the 90s, with the same hand-rolled edge: only the surface changes, not the material. Care for Your Piece
This format is washed flat like a 90; the hand-rolled edge reshapes itself when drying, by gently pulling the edges flat. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; dry flat away from sunlight, iron on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
