Silk scarf 70 Golden Ocelot
An ocelot coat drawn spot by spot, in gold and caramel on cream, covers the entire scarf up to the fine golden border. Each rosette is hatched with lines: from afar an animal print, up close an engraving of fur.
The 70 x 70 is the neck format: folded into a triangle, it ties in front or on the side without falling too low, and folded as a band it makes two wraps. It can also be worn on the head, tied under the chin or at the nape, and as a thin belt over a dress.
The Wearing Experience
- All-over pattern without a center: the scarf ties in all ways, the fur is everywhere.
- Gold and caramel on cream warm up black, camel, and denim.
- Folded into a triangle and tied in front, the point falls mid-chest: that is the right proportion for a coat collar or a blazer.
- As a band, it makes two wraps around the neck with a flat knot: the silk holds without a pin.
Know-How & Material
The Golden Ocelot scarf is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill 100% silk, the same tight weave with a discreet diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense hand and resistance to creasing. The printing is done in high definition, which renders the engraving lines of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never overlocked by machine.
The 70 cm is the intermediate format of silk houses: large enough for tying over the shoulders in summer, short enough to stay neat at the neck in winter. It is cut from the same twill as the 90s, with the same hand-rolled edge: only the surface changes, not the material. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we have detailed our criteria in silk scarf, twill or satin.
Styling Tips
- On an all-black look, tied as a neckerchief: the animal print becomes a jewel.
- With a camel trench, as a bandana in the hair.
- On jeans and a white sweater, as a loose tie.
This format is found throughout the collection of 70x70 silk scarves, the neck format. All formats are gathered in the Misciano silk scarf collection. To go further: tying a silk scarf around the neck.
Caring for Your Piece
This format is washed flat like a 90; the hand-rolled edge reshapes during drying, by gently pulling the edges flat. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; dry flat away from sunlight, iron on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
