Background & Vision

Portrait of Camille Laurent, fashion editor at Misciano Paris

Fashion Writer — Misciano Paris

I am 32 years old and I live in Paris, a city I explore as much for what it reveals as for what it suggests. From an early age, I have been sensitive to details: a perfect cut, a well-chosen material, a garment capable of telling something without ever overdoing it.

After studying literature and visual communication, I turned to publishing and fashion journalism. I worked for several years in editing, iconographic research, and in-depth writing, developing an analytical approach to style, far from ephemeral trends and immediate effects.

What interests me above all is the intimate relationship we have with clothing: why we choose it, how we wear it, and especially how long it accompanies us. I observe fashion as a silent language, made of coherence, rhythm, and precision.

Today, I write for Misciano Paris. There, I develop an editorial vision where elegance is expressed through restraint, sustainability, and respect for craftsmanship. A fashion designed to stand the test of time, without ever losing its modernity.

How I analyse a Misciano product

1

Reading the Garment

I first observe the garment as a whole — its silhouette, palette, and how it fits into a wardrobe. A beautiful piece should be able to tell its story in a single sentence.

2

Real-World Testing

I systematically wear the pieces I analyze — for several days, in different contexts. It is the only way to truly assess the comfort, drape, and durability of the fabric.

3

Wardrobe Relevance

I conclude by asking the question of daily life: does this piece integrate naturally into an existing wardrobe? A relevant purchase is a garment one does not have to ’tame’.
