Background & Vision

Portrait of Alberto Alagna, fashion editor at Misciano Paris

Fashion editor — Misciano Paris

I was born in Milan, the city that shaped my view on fashion, design, and the construction of silhouettes. From a young age, I was drawn to lines, materials, and the way a garment can express an attitude as much as a style.

After a path focused on fashion creation and publishing, I spent four years in New York. There, I collaborated with several international titles, including Harper’s Bazaar , in an environment where fashion constantly interacts with image, art direction, and visual storytelling.

This American experience refined my perspective, but I always missed Europe. Its relationship with time, craftsmanship, and timelessness deeply resonates with my vision of clothing: fashion designed to last, more than to follow.

Today, I am the fashion editor for Misciano Paris. I develop a sensitive and demanding stylistic writing, where contemporary elegance meets craftsmanship, sustainability, and a sense of style that transcends seasons without fading.

Fashion editor — Misciano Paris

“I believe in a fashion that transcends time, driven by the precision of lines, the nobility of materials, and an elegance that does not need to be demonstrative.”

How I analyse a Misciano product

1

Comprehensive Stylistic Analysis

I begin by situating the piece within its stylistic context: which underlying trend does it respond to? Is it coherent with the house’s DNA? Stylistic honesty is the foundation of all editorial judgment.

2

Examination of Materials & Craftsmanship

I then examine the materials and finishing: seams, buttonholes, fabric drape. Luxury is found in the details not immediately visible — that is where the true difference is made.

3

Future Projection

Finally, I project forward 3 to 5 years: will this piece still hold meaning in the wardrobe? The durability of style is my compass — I recommend what withstands the passage of time.
