Background & Vision

Portrait of Esther Arnaud, fashion editor at Misciano Paris

Fashion Editor — Misciano Paris

I am 28 years old and I am from Cannes, a city of contrasts between Mediterranean light and cinematic elegance. It is there that my first perspective on style was forged: an instinctive attention to silhouettes, to the look, and to the very subtle way clothing interacts with a setting and an attitude.

My journey then took shape internationally. I lived in the United Kingdom, where I discovered a more conceptual and relaxed approach to fashion, then in Poland, a country that deeply marked me with its relationship to minimalism, structure, and sustainability.

What interests me above all is not the immediate trend, but the coherence of a wardrobe. I like to analyze why a piece works, how a material influences movement, and how a garment can accompany a woman over time, without ever imposing itself.

Today, I write for Misciano Paris. There, I develop a careful and sensitive editorial writing style, where fashion is thought of as a discreet language, made of balance, precision, and timelessness.

“The fashion that interests me is the one that accompanies without constraining, and that reveals a look before seeking to show itself.”

How I analyse a Misciano product

1

Material Analysis

I always begin by identifying the exact composition of the fabric — weight, origin, wash behavior. A well-chosen material is the guarantee of a garment that lasts.

2

Cut Evaluation

I then study the cut: proportions, drape, length. A successful silhouette should flatter without constricting, while remaining consistent with enduring trends — not passing fads.

3

Durability & Coherence

Finally, I ask: is this a piece one will still wear in 5 years? Durability is also a question of style — a timeless garment remains relevant season after season.
