70 Silk Scarf Compass Rose
A large navy and gold compass rose occupies the center of the scarf, with four engraved cherubs blowing the winds from the corners. The navy border with scrollwork bears the cardinal points: a design from an antique map, between a geographer's cabinet and a coat of arms.
The 70 x 70 is the neck size: folded into a triangle, it ties at the front or to the side without hanging too low, and folded as a headband it wraps twice around. It can also be worn on the head, tied under the chin or at the nape, and as a thin belt over a dress.

The Compass Rose scarf is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill 100% silk, the same tight weave with subtle diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognized by its dense hand and resistance to creasing. The printing is done in high definition, which restores the engraved line of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn by needle, never machine-overcast.
The 70 cm is the intermediate size of silk houses: large enough for shoulder tying in summer, short enough to stay neat at the neck in winter. Care for Your Piece
This size washes flat like a 90; the hand-rolled edge reshapes during drying, by gently pulling the edges flat.
