70 Midnight Coat of Arms Silk Square
A midnight blue monogrammed medallion, encircled by a laurel wreath and ribbon, sits at the center of a cream field scattered with fleur-de-lis flowers and branches. The navy border with golden laurel frieze evokes a house coat of arms, without borrowing any of its elements.
The 70 x 70 is the neck size: folded into a triangle, it ties in front or to the side without falling too low, and folded as a band it goes around twice. It can also be worn on the head, tied under the chin or at the nape, and as a fine belt over a dress.
The Wearing Experience
- The central medallion is worn at the back, point down: the coat of arms appears between the shoulders like on a cape.
- Navy, gold and cream: the most classic palette of the wardrobe, the one that goes with a blazer as well as with a coat.
- Folded into a triangle and tied in front, the point falls in the middle of the chest: it's the right proportion for a coat collar or a blazer.
- As a band, it goes around the neck twice with a flat knot: the silk holds without a pin.
Craftsmanship & Material
The Midnight Coat of Arms square is printed in Italy on 100% natural silk twill, the same tight weave with discreet diagonal as our 90 squares, recognizable by its dense feel and resistance to creasing. The printing is done in high definition, which reproduces the engraving line of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never machine-finished.
The 70 cm is the intermediate size of silk houses: large enough for a shoulder knot in summer, short enough to stay neat around the neck in winter. It is cut from the same twill as the 90, with the same hand-rolled edge: only the surface changes, not the material. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we have detailed our criteria in silk square, twill or satin.
Styling Tips

Care for Your Piece
This size is washed flat like a 90; the hand-rolled edge reshapes itself during drying, by gently pulling the edges flat. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; dry flat away from sunlight, iron on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in how to hand wash a silk square.
