Silk scarf 70 Garnet Jewels
On a deep garnet background, open jewelry boxes, gold chains, pearls, and cut stones are arranged symmetrically around a ruby set in the center. The border aligns rings and stones: a jewelry case designed in engraving.
The 70 x 70 is the neck format: folded into a triangle, it ties in front or on the side without falling too low, and folded as a band it makes two turns. It can also be worn on the head, tied under the chin or at the nape, and as a thin belt over a dress.
The Wearing Experience
- Garnet is the most flattering color of dark backgrounds: it warms the complexion where black hardens it.
- The engraved gold catches the light of the twill: in movement, the chains seem to truly shine.
- Folded into a triangle and tied in front, the point falls at the middle of the chest: it is the right proportion for a coat collar or a blazer.
- As a band, it makes two turns around the neck with a flat knot: the silk holds without a pin.
Know-How & Material
The Garnet Jewels scarf is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill 100% silk, the same tight weave with a discreet diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense hand and resistance to creasing. The printing is done in high definition, which reproduces the engraving line of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never overlocked by machine.
The 70 cm is the intermediate format of silk houses: large enough for tying over the shoulders in summer, short enough to stay neat at the neck in winter. It is cut from the same twill as the 90s, with the same hand-rolled edge: only the surface changes, not the material. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we have detailed our criteria in silk scarf, twill or satin.
Styling Tips
- On a black evening dress, tied as a collar: the garnet replaces the jewelry.
- With a camel coat, in a triangle over the shoulders, ruby at the back.
- On a cream sweater and burgundy pants, as a narrow band.
This format is found throughout the collection of 70x70 silk scarves, the neck format. All formats are gathered in the Misciano silk scarf collection. To go further: tying a silk scarf around the neck.
Caring for Your Piece
This format is washed flat like a 90; the hand-rolled edge reshapes during drying, by gently pulling the edges flat. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; dry flat away from the sun, iron on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
