Silk scarf 70 Golden Zodiac
A sun with a golden face, surrounded by the wheel of the twelve zodiac signs in blue and gold, on a cream field strewn with constellations. The blue and gold border encloses an astrologer's square, designed in the spirit of ancient celestial charts.
The 70 x 70 is the neck format: folded into a triangle, it ties in front or on the side without falling too low, and folded as a band it wraps twice. It can also be worn on the head, tied under the chin or at the nape, and as a thin belt over a dress.
The Wearing Experience
- The central wheel is worn at the back or on the chest, with the sun at the center of the triangle.
- The constellations scattered around the wheel make the band fold as interesting as the open square.
- Folded into a triangle and tied in front, the point falls at the middle of the chest: that is the right proportion for a coat collar or a blazer.
- As a band, it wraps twice around the neck with a flat knot: the silk holds without a pin.
Know-How & Material
The Golden Zodiac scarf is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill 100% silk, the same tight weave with a discreet diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense hand and resistance to creasing. The printing is done in high definition, which renders the engraving line of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never overlocked by machine.
The 70 cm is the intermediate format of silk houses: large enough for tying over the shoulders in summer, short enough to stay neat at the neck in winter. It is cut from the same twill as the 90s, with the same hand-rolled edge: only the surface changes, not the material. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we have detailed our criteria in silk scarf, twill or satin.
Styling Tips
- Over a navy blue coat, tied with the point on the chest.
- With a cream sweater and camel trousers, as a short tie.
- As a birthday gift: every sign is featured, the person finds their own.
This format is found throughout the collection of 70x70 silk scarves, the neck format. All formats are gathered in the Misciano silk scarf collection. To go further: tying a silk scarf around the neck.
Caring for Your Piece
This format is washed flat like a 90; the hand-rolled edge reshapes during drying, by gently pulling the edges flat. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; dry flat away from sunlight, iron on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
