Small silk scarf 50 Polka dots and pearls
A regular scattering of navy polka dots, where a pearly bead replaces one dot on two rows, framed by a row of strung pearls. The classic polka dot, revisited by jewelry design: from afar a polka dot scarf, up close a drawn necklace.
The 50 x 50 is the format for a quick gesture: folded into a four-finger band, it ties around the neck as a short tie, on the head as a bandana, around the wrist, or on a bag handle. It never adds bulk, making it easier to wear than a 90 under a coat collar.
The Wearing Experience
- The navy polka dot on cream is the most timeless scarf pattern: this one adds the pearl, hence the light.
- Regular scattering: no centering to worry about, the knot always falls perfectly.
- Folded as a band, it stays in your hair all day without slipping, as the silk grips itself at the knot.
- Around the neck, it slips under a shirt or sweater collar without bulk: it's the format you keep under your coat.
Know-How & Material
The Polka dots and pearls scarf is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill, 100% silk, the same tight weave with a subtle diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense hand and wrinkle resistance. The print is done in high definition, which captures the engraving line of the design, then set to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never machine overlocked.
In 50 cm, the scarf is cut from the same twill as the 90s: same density, same hand. The difference is in proportion: the border takes up a larger part of the design, and it's what shows once the scarf is folded into a band. Designs in this size are therefore composed border-first. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we've detailed our criteria in silk scarf, twill or satin.
Styling Tips
- On a navy suit, tied like a shirt collar, for the office.
- With a striped shirt and white jeans, as a tight bandana.
- Around the wrist, over a pearl bracelet, to double the pattern.
This format is found throughout the collection of small silk scarves 50x50, designed for the neck, hair, and bag. All formats are gathered in the Misciano silk scarf collection. To go further: wearing a silk scarf in your hair all day.
Caring for Your Piece
The small format is washed flat in a few minutes and dries quickly; it's the scarf you care for most often, because it touches hair and skin. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; dry flat away from sunlight, iron on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
