Small silk scarf 50 Starry Shower
A diagonal of eight-pointed stars, from the largest to the smallest celestial body, crosses the cream scarf like a golden shower. The rest of the field is left empty: it is the most minimalist scarf in the range, a design of silence and light.
The 50 x 50 format is for quick gestures: folded into a four-finger band, it ties around the neck as a short tie, on the head as a bandana, around the wrist, or on a bag handle. It never adds bulk, making it easier to wear than a 90 under a coat collar.
The Wearing Experience
- Folded as a band, the diagonal of stars appears on one side only: you choose to show it or keep it for yourself.
- The cream and gold tones match gold jewelry and white summer outfits.
- Folded as a band, it stays in your hair all day without slipping, as the silk grips itself at the knot.
- Around the neck, it slips under a shirt or sweater collar without bulk: it is the format you keep under your coat.
Know-How & Material
The Starry Shower scarf is printed in Italy on 100% natural silk twill, the same tight weave with a subtle diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense hand and wrinkle resistance. The print is done in high definition, which renders the engraving lines of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never machine-overlocked.
In 50 cm, the scarf is cut from the same twill as the 90s: same density, same hand. The difference is in proportion: the border occupies a larger part of the design, and it is what shows once the scarf is folded into a band. Designs in this size are therefore composed border-first. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we have detailed our criteria in silk scarf, twill or satin.
Styling Tips
- On a black evening dress, as a wrist scarf: the stars appear with movement.
- With a cream sweater and white pants, tied loosely around the neck.
- As a bandana, with the points tied above the forehead, for a wedding bun.
This format is found throughout the small silk scarf 50x50 collection, designed for the neck, hair, and bag. All formats are gathered in the Misciano silk scarf collection. To go further: wearing a silk scarf in your hair all day.
Caring for Your Piece
The small format can be washed flat in a few minutes and dries quickly; it is the scarf you care for most often because it touches hair and skin. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; dry flat away from sunlight, iron on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
