Silk scarf 90 Four seasons
Four quarters, cherry blossoms, summer wheat, autumn foliage, winter branches, revolve around a central medallion where the sun and the moon share the sky. The border of golden scrolls unites the four seasons in a single garden.
The 90 x 90 is the king format of the silk scarf: in a triangle on the shoulders, folded as a band around the neck, as a turban, as a belt, or tied to a bag. Its surface allows all knots, from the loosest to the tightest, and it is the one that shows the design in full once draped.
The Wearing Experience
- Each corner of the scarf is a season: the visible panel changes color depending on the fold, from spring pink to autumn gold.
- The sun-moon medallion is worn on the back or at the center of the chest.
- In a triangle on the shoulders, the center of the design falls in the middle of the back and the borders frame the neckline.
- Folded into a narrow band, it makes three turns around the neck or a complete turban.
Know-How & Material
The Four seasons scarf is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill 100% silk, the same tight weave with a discreet diagonal as our 90 scarves, recognizable by its dense hand and its resistance to creasing. The printing is done in high definition, which reproduces the engraving line of the design, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn with a needle, never machine-overlocked.
The 90 cm is the historic format of the house: it is the one of our twenty-six scarves printed in Italy, and the one on which the silk twill gives the best drape, neither too heavy for the neck nor too light for the shoulders. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we have detailed our criteria in silk scarf, twill or satin.
Style Tips

This format is found throughout the collection of 90x90 silk scarves, the historic format of the house. All formats are gathered in the Misciano silk scarf collection. To go further: wearing a silk scarf: 8 styles.
Caring for Your Piece
A 90 is washed flat in a basin, without twisting; it dries flat on a towel, edges pulled, and is barely ironed. Cold water, mild soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; flat drying away from the sun, ironing on the reverse side at low temperature, dry iron. The steps are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
