Small 50 silk scarf Nutcracker
Nutcracker soldiers in red and green uniforms, ballerinas in white tutus and drums surround a decorated Christmas tree at the center of the scarf. The border lines up toys, rocking horses and sweets, like the frieze of a Christmas picture book.
The 50 x 50 is the format for quick gestures: folded as a four-finger headband, it ties at the neck as a short tie, on the head as a bandana, around the wrist or on a bag handle. It never creates bulk, making it easier to wear than a 90 under a coat collar.
The Wearing Experience
- It's the scarf for celebrations: worn at the neck over a plain sweater, it's enough to dress up a New Year's Eve outfit without sequins.
- Red, green and cream are found in each corner: the points of the fold are always colored.
- Folded as a headband, it stays in your hair all day without slipping, the silk clinging to itself at the knot.
- At the neck, it slips under a shirt or sweater collar without thickness: it's the format you keep under your coat.
Craftsmanship & Material
The Nutcracker scarf is printed in Italy on a natural silk twill 100% silk, the same tight weave with a discreet diagonal that our 90 scarves have, recognizable by its dense hand and resistance to wrinkles. The printing is done in high definition, which restores the engraving line of the drawing, then fixed to withstand hand washing. The edges are hand-rolled: rolled and sewn by needle, never serged by machine.
At 50 cm, the scarf is cut from the same twill as the 90s: same density, same hand. The difference is in proportion: the border takes up a larger part of the design, and that's what you see once the scarf is folded as a headband. Designs of this size are therefore composed border first. To understand what distinguishes a twill from a silk satin, we've detailed our criteria in silk scarf, twill or satin.
Style Tips
- With a red sweater and a black velvet skirt, tied in a soft bow.
- On a cream coat, folded as a narrow headband, to show only the toy frieze.
- Given with a Misciano box: it's one of the rare scarves that tells a story on its own.
This format is found throughout the collection of small 50x50 silk scarves, designed for the neck, hair and bag. All formats are gathered in the Misciano silk scarves collection. To go further: wearing a silk scarf in your hair all day.
Care for Your Piece
The small format washes flat in a few minutes and dries quickly; it's the scarf you maintain most often, because it touches your hair and skin. Cold water, gentle soap, no prolonged soaking or wringing; flat drying away from the sun, ironing on the reverse at low temperature, dry iron. The gestures are detailed in hand washing a silk scarf.
