A lined white dress, to forget about transparency
The downside of lightweight white dresses is well known: in bright light, you can see through them. This one is fully lined under a matte crepe, and the only transparency is the one you choose: the fluid cape that drapes over the bust and upper arms. The halter neckline exposes the shoulders, and the A-line skirt stops at mid-thigh. A crisp white dress, for a civil ceremony, an Indian summer birthday, or an evening on the terrace.
The Wearing Experience
- No transparency: the skirt and bodice are lined: light does not pass through the dress like an unlined white veil
- A cape that adds movement: it floats over the bust and arms and breaks up the look of a too-demure dress
- A tied neckline: the tie at the nape adjusts the neckline height and forms a knot with long panels down the back
- A cut that suits everyone: the waist is defined by the seam, the A-line skirt does not cling to the hips
Craftsmanship & Material
Composition, per label: fabric 100% polyester, lining 100% polyester. For a white dress, the lining is the deciding factor: a single layer of white crepe allows skin and underwear to show through as soon as you pass a window. With fabric and lining layered together, light is diffused twice and transparency almost entirely disappears. Polyester also has the advantage of not yellowing like poorly rinsed white cotton.
The halter neckline is gathered into a band collar, then tied at the nape with a tie in the same fabric; below the knot, a small keyhole opening facilitates dressing. The cape is attached to the same collar and opens in two panels down the center back, on either side of the invisible zipper. Styling Tips
- Gold sandals with fine straps and small hoops: the civil ceremony or terrace party version.
- Nude pumps and short tweed jacket for an elegant lunch.
- White leather sneakers and denim jacket for a freer daytime version.

Caring for Your Piece
Delicate wash at 30°C, preferably by hand, on the reverse, tie untied, with whites only. No bleach, which yellows polyester. No tumble dryer. Dry on hanger. Iron on low heat on the reverse, or steam press from a distance. To keep a bright white, treat any makeup stain at the neckline immediately with a little Marseille soap.
