What contrast does to the waist
- Front on : The pale band stops at the bust, the dark takes everything else. The waist reads narrower than it is.
- In profile : The royal blue bottom is plain across the whole hip: nothing cuts the line, unlike a two-tone set lower down.
- In movement : The wrap moves with the bust without ever opening, the pale panel being fixed under the dark one.
- After the swim : The royal blue appears to dry faster than the sky blue. That is a trick of the shade: both fabrics are identical.
Two blues, one garment
Blue is the most exposed colour at sea: chlorine attacks it and salt whitens it from the edges. Both tones here are dyed through on the same 82% polyamide, 18% elastane base, which avoids the most visible flaw of cheap two-tone swimwear, where one colour fades before the other and unbalances the garment within a season. The polyester lining is full, including under the pale panel.Making two colours age at the same rate is invisible on day one, and it is exactly what interests the house of Misciano.
Blue and nothing else
- Off-white : An open ecru tunic and espadrilles. The two blues carry the outfit on their own.
- Light denim : Faded denim shorts: three blues, and it works precisely because they are frankly different.
- Gold : Fine bangles and hoops. Royal blue is the one shade here that takes gold without turning loud.
Three other pairings exist for this piece, below the price, with the rest of the swimwear and the beach tunics.
A blue swimsuit that does not rely on a print to exist.
