Utilitarian wardrobe, cut from crisp linen
Buttoned flap chest pockets, shirt collar, full-length button front, tie belt: this dress borrows its vocabulary from workwear, then renders it in muted khaki linen and cuts it midi-length. The result is no longer utilitarian, but it retains the logic, each detail serves a purpose.

Craftsmanship & Fabric
Composition: 50% linen, 25% tencel lyocell, 25% viscose. Tencel lyocell deserves to be distinguished from ordinary viscose: produced from wood pulp in a closed-loop process, where the solvent is recovered and reused, it yields a smoother fibre and greater wet strength. This is precisely the moisture resistance that matters on a summer dress, one you wash often.
The khaki is here obtained on a linen base, which explains its irregular depth: linen fibre has a non-uniform cross-section and takes dye slightly unevenly from one thread to another. This is what gives this vibrant colour, which shifts with the light, instead of the flat khaki of a solid cotton. The downside is sensitivity to direct sunlight, to which shade-drying fully responds. Care for Your Piece
Delicate wash at 30°C, by hand preferably, inside out. No bleach, no tumble drying, no dry cleaning. Dry in shade, not in sun: khaki-dyed linen fades faster in direct sunlight than in the washing machine. Hang the dress still damp on a hanger, buttoned two-thirds of the way, creases ease out on their own. Iron with a cool iron on the inside, fabric slightly damp.
