The Dress for Warm Days, in Beige
A summer dress that comes down to three gestures: two slim straps tied at the shoulder, a straight neckline, a gathered waist. The bodice falls straight, with no darts or cups, down to an elasticated seam finished with a small ruffle, then the skirt flares out and stops above the knee. The beige, a natural tone between sand and oat, pairs with leather, straw and skin turned golden by summer.
The Wearing Experience
- Adjustable straps: tie them higher or lower on the shoulder, which adjusts both the neckline and the height of the waist
- An unrestricted waist: the elasticated seam follows your breathing and the ruffle hides the seam
- A skirt that moves: gathered then flared, it catches the air with every step
- An easy beige: it can be worn from morning to evening without ever looking white or grey
Craftsmanship & Material
The label states 95% polyester and 5% elastane, in a light weave with a subtly flamed effect that gives the fabric a living surface. This polyester has two qualities that suit a true summer dress: it dries quickly and creases little, so you can take it out of a suitcase and wear it straight away.
The waist is an elasticated band set into the seam, with its top edge left free to form a small ruffle: it finishes the garment and conceals the gathers. The straps are slim ties in the same fabric, sewn at the front and knotted at the shoulder, with no buckle or hook. Our feature on short dresses explores the effect of these constructions on the silhouette.
Styling Tips
- Flat natural leather sandals and a straw basket: the holiday version, from the beach to the market.
- Wedge espadrilles and a straw hat: for lunch on a terrace.
- A light denim jacket over the shoulders: for cooler summer evenings.
It is also available in black and in brown, and joins our short dresses and our selection of summer dresses.
Caring for Your Piece
Machine wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, dress turned inside out and straps placed in a laundry bag. No bleach, no fabric softener. Dry on a hanger in the shade. Iron at a low temperature if needed, avoiding the gathered waistband.
