Tuxedo Tailoring and Lace in One Piece
The top of this jumpsuit is cut like a tuxedo jacket: two wide notched lapels in black crepe cross over the bust and close at the waist in a deep V. What softens this structure is the lace. A sheer eyelash lace fills the neckline beneath the lapels, covers the top of the shoulders and forms the short sleeves. Underneath, a flat belt defines the waist, and the trousers fall wide and straight to the ankle. A structured evening outfit, without a dress.
The Experience of Wearing It
- A covered neckline: the lace under the lapels finishes the V neatly, so there is no need to wear a top underneath
- Lightened shoulders: the sheer lace on the top of the shoulders and sleeves breaks up the jacket effect and lets the outfit breathe
- A defined waist: the flat belt and the back darts shape the waist without any accessory
- Elongating trousers: wide and straight, pleated at the waist, they fall to the ankle and are best worn with a slim heel
Craftsmanship & Material
The jumpsuit is 100% polyester, according to its label. The body is a matt crepe with a firm hand: this is what allows the lapels to lie flat across the bust, as on a jacket, instead of sagging as jersey would. The lace is a Chantilly-type lace, with fine floral motifs on a light tulle, finished with an eyelash edge: the loose threads along the edge create the irregular outline that softens every border.
The construction follows the principle of the wrap top: both fronts cross over and are sewn into the waistband, which gives the V its depth without gaping. The lace is set beneath the lapels, not over them, so the crepe keeps its line and the lace simply fills in. At the back, the lapels extend into a small folded collar, below which the entire upper back is lace, with a zip down the centre. Styling Tips
- Black satin pumps with gold studs: the dinner or office-party version, hair pulled into a low bun.
- Strappy sandals and a metallic clutch: for a New Year's Eve party, the lace is festive enough on its own.
- Long black coat over the shoulders: the silhouette stays entirely vertical.

Caring for Your Piece
Gentle wash at 30 °C, inside out and in a laundry bag to protect the lace, or dry clean. No bleach, no tumble drying. Dry on a hanger. Iron the crepe on the reverse with a low heat iron, avoiding the lace, which relaxes on its own with steam.
