The leather skirt that gets through winter
Faux leather has long been a mid-season affair: perfect in September, unbearable in January. This A-line midi skirt solves the problem from the inside. Under its chocolate brown shell, a brushed fleece lining covers the entire piece down to the hem, without adding visible bulk or breaking the drape. You keep the clean line of leather, you gain the season that was missing.
The Wearing Experience
- Full brushed lining: the warmth of a woolen fabric under the look of leather, without extra thickness at the hips.
- Structured high waist: the attached waistband holds its position without compressing, fastened with a matte metal snap button on a placket.
- A-line cut: the fullness opens from the hips and frees the stride, where a straight skirt forces you to shorten your step.
- Two patch pockets: placed on the front and highlighted with visible topstitching, wide enough for a phone.
Know-How & Material
Upper in polyurethane faux leather with a soft grain, matte satin finish, lined over its entire height with a brushed fleece. No animal skin is used in its manufacture.
The pointed yoke that crosses the hips is not a pattern. It absorbs the shaping of the pelvis in two seams rather than darts, which avoids the tension creases that faux leather retains permanently, where a knit would relax and then regain its shape. The central vertical seam extends this logic: it splits the front panel, so that the flare of the A-line is built into the cut and not into the drape of the material. Our benchmarks on the behavior of faux leather in use are gathered in our faux leather guide.
Styling Tips
- By day, a fine ribbed turtleneck tucked into the high waist, tall boots that meet the hem, a straight coat over it.
- In the evening, a fine ivory knit and pointed-toe pumps are enough: chocolate brown replaces black without trying to imitate it.
- The contrast that works: a matte, textured material on top, boiled wool or flannel, so that the satin sheen of the leather stands out instead of repeating itself.
This piece joins our midi skirts and is also available in black. For an unlined faux leather skirt, to wear from the first fine days, see rather our camel brown wrap skirt. The season's silhouettes are detailed in our 2026 skirt selection.
Caring for Your Piece
Faux leather is not washed like a knit. Wipe with a barely damp sponge over the surface, without detergent, then let dry flat away from any heat source. The brushed lining is refreshed by simply airing it out. Avoid the dryer, direct ironing, and prolonged folding on the hem, which marks the material.
