A cargo pocket on a satin weave, and each one tempers the other
The cargo pocket comes from utilitarian wear, the cupro satin from evening wear. Placed on the same wrap skirt, they cancel each other out just enough: the flap pocket keeps the satin from looking like cocktail wear, the satin keeps the pocket from looking tactical. The wrap-over front panel crosses over and ties at the hip, the length reaches the mid-calf, and charcoal grey keeps everything in daytime register.
Wearing Experience
- A wrap that doesn't gape: the outer panel runs straight from the waistband edge to the hem and the ties knot at the hip: the wrap stays closed when sitting
- One pocket, and it works: large, with flap, placed on the right thigh: it holds a phone without distorting the satin weave

Craftsmanship & Fabric
Composition: 50% cotton, 30% cupro, 20% tencel lyocell, woven in satin weave. Satin is a weave structure, a way of crossing threads that creates long floats on the surface, not a fibre: no silk enters into this skirt. Cupro is a cellulose filament derived from cotton linter, very fine and cool to the touch, the kind used in tailoring linings; it gives the slip and soft sheen. Cotton, the majority component, provides body and weight, and lyocell provides colour stability through washing.
The pocket is topstitched then lined with a free flap, with no button: on a satin weave, a buttonhole would pull on the floats and eventually break them. The flap is held by its own weight. The wrap is closed by two ties in the same fabric that pass through the waistband, so the wrap-over doesn't depend on a hidden button. These are two construction choices that serve the same purpose: nothing pierces the satin weave. Our selection from office to weekend shows how a utilitarian piece moves from one register to another.
Styling Tips
- Thin black jumper tucked in and loafers: the office register, where the cargo pocket becomes a tailoring detail.
- White t-shirt, denim jacket and trainers: the wrap skirt takes on the role of cargo trousers.
- Close-fitting black knit top and heeled sandals in the evening, with the knot turned to the front.

Care Instructions
Hand wash at 30 °C, inside out, skirt untied. No bleach, no tumble drying. Dry on a hanger in the shade, ties detached and laid separately so they don't mark the satin weave. Iron on low heat on the reverse only: pressing an iron on the right side will permanently gloss the satin weave. Empty the pocket before washing; a forgotten object will distort the flap.
